A three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., The Wall That Heals will arrive in Athens, Alabama and be displayed November 6th - 9th, 2025, on Beasley Field at Athens State University.
The traveling exhibit honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War. It bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. In addition to the 375' long replica, the traveling exhibit features a mobile education center and guided tours. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) selected Athens as one of 31 sites nationwide.
Athens State University is honored to partner with the City of Athens, the Limestone County Commission, the Limestone County Legislative Delegation, and the Alabama Veterans Museum in bringing this exhibit to the City of Athens and the greater Tennessee Valley region.
